This week, work continues on upgrading and asphalting streets in urban and rural local communities in Smederevo.
This is the largest road infrastructure project being carried out in the city, using a public-private partnership model.
In line with the priorities set by the local communities, more than 400 urban and rural streets will be upgraded.
“These are not just numbers. Behind every street there are people, families and households who have waited years for better conditions. That is why it is important to me that we keep up the same pace and that the works reach as many of our fellow citizens as possible. Together with President Aleksandar Vučić, we are continuing on the path of development and responsible investment. Street by street, neighbourhood by neighbourhood, kilometre by kilometre, Smederevo is getting a more orderly, safer and more functional road network. Our aim is to bring asphalt to as many households as possible, so that no part of our city is forgotten and everyone can feel that work and building are going on in their area,” said the Mayor of Smederevo, Jasmina Vojinović.
The ongoing works across urban and rural local communities are a continuation of investment in road infrastructure and in improving the living conditions of the citizens of Smederevo.
