Visit to the “Hajdi” kindergarten

Published
The Mayor of Smederevo, Jasmina Vojinović, today visited the central kindergarten “Hajdi”, where the installation of a new roof covering was completed over the summer, completing the energy renovation of the building. As part of the project to improve the energy efficiency of the “Hajdi” kindergarten, jointly funded with RSD 40 million by the City of Smederevo and the Ministry of Mining and Energy, the boiler room was converted from heating oil to natural gas last year, the worn windows and doors were replaced and the façade was renovated. “During these works it was found that the roof covering of this kindergarten also needed complete renovation. With this work completed, the kindergarten is now more energy efficient, more functional and more modern. The City of Smederevo allocated RSD 27 million from the budget for the roof renovation of the “Hajdi” building. Besides the energy renovation, the interior has also been refurbished. Our aim is to provide children with the best possible conditions to stay, learn and grow up, so that our kindergartens and schools are safe, modern, functional and energy efficient. The renovation of the “Hajdi” kindergarten is another important step in that direction. We will continue to invest in our educational institutions, because children are the future of our city,” said Mayor Jasmina Vojinović.
