Today, in the beautiful setting of Zlatni Breg Villa, the traditional ceremony was held to present awards to the best pupils of primary and secondary schools in the City of Smederevo for the 2025/2026 school year.
This year the City of Smederevo honoured 24 top students of the year, who achieved outstanding results throughout their schooling and have earned the right to be an example to future generations.
Alongside the award-winning pupils, the ceremony was attended by parents, primary and secondary school teachers and representatives of the School Administration, who, together with the city leadership, shared the joy of their great success.
The awards, in the form of commendations, gold coins bearing the city’s coat of arms and books, were presented to the most successful pupils by the Mayor of Smederevo, Jasmina Vojinović.
“Being the best among your peers is no accident. It is the result of years of hard work and sacrifice, but above all of your immense curiosity and thirst for knowledge.
The gold coins and commendations we are presenting to you today are only a small token of your city’s gratitude. They are proof that Smederevo recognises, values and celebrates your success.
We share this joy with your parents, who have been your greatest support, and with your teachers, who recognised the spark in you and guided you along the path of knowledge.
The City of Smederevo will always be there to support you as you continue your education and personal development, in the hope that after your studies you will come back so that together we can build a better future for us all,” Mayor Vojinović said, among other things.
