The Mayor of Smederevo, Jasmina Vojinović, today presented car seats and prams at the City Administration.
This is a continuation of the campaigns carried out to support parents and make their role easier.
On that occasion, the Mayor stressed that this campaign sends a message to all parents that caring for the youngest is one of the top priorities of the City of Smederevo.
“The car seats we have been giving to parents for years, and the prams we introduced this year, are just one sign of how important families are to us and how they come first for us.
We will continue to listen to the needs of families and, within our means, do everything we can to be their mainstay and support.
That is indeed one of the most important roles of local government: to stand by its citizens and to create the best possible conditions for life, growing up and the future of our children,” said the Mayor of Smederevo, Jasmina Vojinović, announcing that work to adapt the “Monopol” building as a kindergarten will begin in the next ten days or so, which will significantly increase the capacity of the preschool institution and create the conditions for every child to get a place, with no waiting lists.
She added that four new kindergartens have opened since 2023, in Radinac, Drugovac, Kolari and Skobalj, showing equal care for all citizens, both those who live in the city centre and families who live in the villages.
She offered the parents her sincere congratulations and wished them many happy moments with their little ones, in the hope that there will be even more of them.
Today, prams and car seats were presented for 64 little ones.
