Today, on behalf of the City of Smederevo, the Deputy Mayor of Smederevo, Vladimir Nešić, signed the Contract on Awarding Grant Funding for the organisation of this year’s “Miholjski susreti sela” event with the Ministry of Rural Welfare.
The ministry has allocated RSD 500,000 to the City of Smederevo for this purpose.
The event will first be held in Šalinac on 22 September, and by mid-October it will also be organised in Vrbovac and Lipe.
Last year, the “Miholjski susreti sela” were held in Skobalj, Lunjevac and Osipaonica. The aim of the event is to promote the traditions, customs and all the values of Serbia’s rural communities.
