Today, in the presence of the Minister of Mining and Energy, Dubravka Đedović Handanović, the Mayor of Smederevo, Jasmina Vojinović, and the Director of the Directorate for Financing and Promoting Energy Efficiency, Milan Macura, signed a contract to finance the energy renovation of the Technical School gym.
The Ministry of Mining and Energy has allocated RSD 28 million for the project, while the City of Smederevo will contribute an additional RSD 13 million.
“By signing this contract, we are continuing to carry out important projects aimed at providing our pupils and the staff of educational institutions with better, higher-quality and healthier conditions for learning and working.

“The energy renovation of the Technical School is an important step in the further modernisation and improvement of school infrastructure, and also in a responsible approach to energy and the environment.
I am particularly pleased that we are carrying out this project thanks to our successful cooperation with the Ministry of Mining and Energy, with which we have an excellent working relationship.
Thanks to the support of this ministry, for several years now we have been successfully carrying out energy renovation projects in Smederevo for our citizens’ houses and flats, as well as for public buildings.
A good example of this is the recently completed energy renovation of Smederevo’s Textile-Technical and Agricultural School “Despot Đurađ”.
The continuation of this cooperation confirms that by working together, the state, the line ministry and the local government can deliver projects that bring tangible benefits to our citizens.
With investments like these, we are not only improving conditions in educational institutions, but also contributing to more rational energy consumption, lower costs, environmental protection and a healthier, better living environment for all the citizens of Smederevo.
I believe that we will continue our good cooperation with the line ministry in the coming period and work together on new projects of importance to our city,” the Mayor of Smederevo, Jasmina Vojinović, said after signing the contract.
