The Mayor of Smederevo, Jasmina Vojinović, today attended the Conference of the City Union of Social and Humanitarian Organisations of Smederevo.
In her address, she stressed that the conference is an opportunity to review the results achieved in the previous period, discuss challenges and set goals that will help further improve the position of persons with disabilities.
“The City of Smederevo recognises the importance of your work, and we will continue to be a reliable partner to all organisations whose activities help improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities.
Following the national policy led by the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, we work every day to remove stereotypes and prejudices and to create even better living conditions for all our citizens.
The City of Smederevo will continue to support all initiatives that help create a society of equal opportunities, in which every person has the chance to fulfil their potential and live in dignity,” the Mayor said.
She recalled that this year RSD 23 million has been allocated from the City budget to co-finance the programme activities of associations of persons with disabilities, three million dinars more than the previous year.
