Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija visits Smederevo

Published

The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petković, together with the Mayor of Smederevo, Jasmina Vojinović, today visited the Simijonović family, a large family of internally displaced persons in Vučak.

While talking to his hosts, the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija recalled the importance of unity and of support for our people in Serbia’s southern province, stressing the importance of the upcoming parliamentary elections, at which Serbs with the right to vote will have the opportunity, on Sunday, 7 June, to show responsibility and unity.

“This is another opportunity to call on all internally displaced persons, and I am particularly addressing all our people from Kosovo and Metohija, many of whom live in the territory of the City of Smederevo and hold Pristina-issued documents, to go to Kosovo and Metohija and vote for Srpska Lista.

This is particularly important to us so that we can continue to preserve our educational and healthcare institutions and our university, and continue to provide salaries, pensions and all social benefits for the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija.

The State of Serbia, led by President Aleksandar Vučić, supports Srpska Lista and gives its full support to Srpska Lista, the only legitimate representative of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija.

A victory for Srpska Lista and winning all 10 guaranteed seats in the Pristina parliament is a sign of victory for the Serbian people and of our people remaining and surviving in their centuries-old homes,” said the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, who thanked the Mayor of Smederevo for her support for the work of this institution, and the Simijonović family for their hospitality, especially grandmother Divna, the oldest member of the family, who has brought up eleven grandchildren.
