Business exhibition opens

Published

As part of the 138th “Smederevo Autumn”, which runs from 12 to 14 September, a business exhibition presenting part of Smederevo’s economy opened this evening at the Cultural Centre.

Businesses, from small and medium-sized enterprises to large companies operating in the territory of the city, are presenting themselves at the stalls.

In addition to getting to know the product range, visitors to the exhibition have the opportunity to learn more about the range of products and services offered to domestic and foreign markets.

“‘Smederevo Autumn’ has always been an excellent opportunity to present our city’s business environment, and with this exhibition we are also paying tribute to all those who are committed to work, development, innovation and new business ideas.

More than 3,000 sole traders and around 1,000 companies operate in the territory of the City of Smederevo, employing our fellow citizens in ferrous metallurgy and metal processing, the manufacture of machinery and various equipment for the automotive industry, and the manufacture of textiles and other products.

For the local government, all business people, craftspeople and sole traders are equally important, and that is why the City of Smederevo strives to provide the most favourable conditions possible for their normal operation.

We believe that this exhibition will open up new opportunities for cooperation, networking and growth for the benefit of all,” said Vladimir Nešić, Deputy Mayor of Smederevo, at the opening of the business exhibition, wishing all exhibitors a successful showing.

He suggested that visitors to the 138th “Smederevo Autumn” tour the exhibition and so learn more about what Smederevo, as an industrial city, has to offer markets.
