The Mayor of Smederevo, Jasmina Vojinović, today attended the official opening of the production plant of the company Lajka Plus LLC Lozovik in Saraorci.
The plant produces aluminium and PVC profiles, mainly for export. The business was started by a family of returnees from abroad who decided to come back and continue their lives in their home region.
“With the official opening of a new factory in Saraorci, we are continuing a series of happy events that began last week, when we attended the ceremony to put the largest solar power plant in Serbia into operation in this Smederevo village of ours.
The local government in Smederevo is always open to new investment, because it means new jobs and fewer of our fellow citizens registered with the National Employment Service. Large, medium-sized and small enterprises are equally important to us, because new factories and new jobs contribute to the economic development of Smederevo. It is equally important to us to have them both in the city and in the villages, because that means more balanced development and an opportunity for people to find work where they live,” stresses the Mayor of Smederevo, Jasmina Vojinović.
