In line with her commitment to improving the condition of educational institutions and creating better conditions for work and learning during her term of office, the Mayor of Smederevo, Jasmina Vojinović, visited the roof repair works at Smederevo Economics and Trade School.
During the visit, the Mayor stressed that investing in education is one of the local government’s most important priorities, as it is an investment in the future of young generations and the development of the whole community.
“Investing in education is investing in the future. Our aim is for all schools in the city to be modern, safe and functional, so that pupils and teachers have the best possible conditions for working and progressing,” the Mayor said.
She recalled that the Economics and Trade School had recently received the highest rating from an external education inspection, which confirms the high-quality, dedicated and professional work of the school’s management, teaching staff and all its employees.
“This result shows that effort, responsibility and professionalism are recognised and valued. That is why I urge all heads of educational institutions to work actively on preparing projects, to apply for the available funds and to do their jobs professionally, because only by working together can we ensure the continued development of our schools,” Vojinović stressed.
The City of Smederevo will continue to support projects aimed at improving educational infrastructure, with the goal of creating modern conditions for the education and development of young people.
