From 6 to 12 October, Children’s Week is being marked in cities across Serbia under this year’s slogan: “I have the right to play, laugh, dream, create and turn it all into a better world”.
During Children’s Week, numerous activities are also being organised in Smederevo: workshops, sports competitions, performances, educational and music programmes and many other interesting events and entertainment, in which children are joined by their kindergarten teachers, class teachers, subject teachers and parents.
Sharing the children’s joy and spending time with them, the Deputy Mayor of Smederevo, Vladimir Nešić, and Aleksandra Mitić, Member of the City Council responsible for education and culture, today showed their support for the little ones.

In the coming days, a knowledge quiz for pupils of Smederevo’s primary schools, an interactive get-together with futsal players and a public lesson of the “Sport in Schools” project with younger schoolchildren are also planned.
For the city’s youngest residents, the play “Šumograd from the Other Side of the Moon”, directed by Nevena Rakočević Pavlović, and a get-together with costumed cartoon characters are also planned, while at the close of Children’s Week another play awaits them, directed by Mateja Popović: “How I Became King”.
Through a rich and interesting programme during Children’s Week, children will celebrate their rights in a creative way and draw attention to how important and precious childhood is.
