Today, on behalf of the City Administration, the Mayor of Smederevo, Jovan Beč, received an award from the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government for the most successful local government unit in sector-specific special professional training of registrars in 2022.
On the occasion of the awards for the most successful local government units, the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government held a conference, at which those present were addressed by the Minister of Family Care and Demography, Darija Kisić, the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, and the State Secretary at the Ministry of the Interior, Danilo Stevandić.
This year’s conference was dedicated to registrars and civil servants who keep the unified voter register up to date and who, through their work in recent years, have contributed to the digital, administrative and cultural transformation of public administration as a whole.
Minister Martinović pointed out that the very participation and support of civil servants in establishing the new system of professional training shows that it is beginning to achieve its desired reform goal: equal access to the right to professional training for all public administration employees, regardless of where they live and work.
The City Administration of the City of Smederevo will continue to work on the education and professional development of its employees in the coming period, following all the programmes of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and of other relevant institutions in this field.
