Today’s guests at the City Administration were Nikola Maksimović, a member of the Smederevo Boxing Club “Despot”, and his coach Stefan Pavlović.
The young boxer Nikola Maksimović recently returned from the national championships in Belgrade with the title of Serbian youth champion, which he defended for the third time. This year he took part in the European Championships in Poreč, where he won a bronze medal. At the Vojvodina Golden Glove tournament, held at the end of August, he won a silver medal, and from 20 October to 6 November he will compete at the Youth World Championships being held in Budva.
To mark the occasion, a reception for the young boxer and his coach was held by the Mayor of Smederevo, Jasmina Vojinović, the President of the City Assembly of Smederevo, Milan Perić, and the Member of the City Council responsible for sport and youth, Dragan Đorđević.
Congratulating them on all the sporting successes they have achieved together so far, they expressed the wish that seventeen-year-old Nikola Maksimović would proudly represent Serbia and his city at the upcoming competition in Montenegro.
