The Department for Local Tax Administration of the Smederevo City Administration invites all citizens and legal entities who own real estate in the territory of the City of Smederevo and who have not yet submitted a property tax return to do so by
13 February 2026.
Tax returns for the assessment of property tax can be submitted in person in the counter hall of the
Department for Local Tax Administration in the Smederevo City Administration building
(office no. 79) every working day from 7:30 to 15:30, by registered post to the address of the
Department for Local Tax Administration, Smederevo City Administration, Omladinska 1, Smederevo, or through the portal of the unified information system of the local tax administration (JIS) at https://lpa.gov.rs/.
From 18 February 2026, the competent Department for Local Tax Administration will begin field inspections of unregistered and incompletely registered buildings in the territory of the City of Smederevo in accordance with the Law on Tax Procedure and Tax Administration and the Law on Inspection Oversight.
We remind you that failure to register property for the assessment of property tax is a misdemeanour under Article 177 and Article 180 of the Law on Tax Procedure and Tax Administration.
