On 30 May 2024, representatives of the Municipal Police Department of Novi Pazar visited our city and the Municipal Police Department of Smederevo to exchange experience and improve practice in the field of municipal services.
The representatives of the Novi Pazar Municipal Police Department were welcomed and met by the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor, the Head of the City Administration of Smederevo, the Head of the Municipal Police Department and municipal police officers of the City Administration of Smederevo.
During the visit, our staff and their colleagues from Novi Pazar shared their working methods and discussed the challenges they face and the solutions they apply in their day-to-day work.
Topics discussed included cooperation with the local community, the introduction of new technologies in the work of the municipal police and ways of improving communication with citizens.
One of the main aims of the visit was to gather new ideas and apply best practices that can help improve the work of the Municipal Police.
This visit was very important for the Municipal Police, as it gave us an insight into new methods and ways of working that we can introduce into our own work. We believe that the experience gained will contribute to better organisation and greater efficiency.
For the municipal police of both the City of Smederevo and the City of Novi Pazar to work as successfully as possible, all cooperation and exchange of experience is essential, so that both sides can work better, more efficiently and more effectively.
In the spirit of good practice and cooperation, the Municipal Police Department of the City of Smederevo will continue to cooperate with other cities in Serbia that have established a municipal police force.
