Today, on the square in Smederevo, a panel discussion entitled “Breast Cancer Prevention” was held to mark International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is observed worldwide in October to draw attention to the high prevalence of this disease and the importance of prevention. Those present were addressed by Dr Sonja Dunčić, who stressed the importance of prevention and early detection of the disease, which makes timely treatment possible and thus significantly increases the chance of a lasting cure.
On this occasion, flyers were handed out and pink balloons were released as a symbol of International Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
