We would like to inform our fellow citizens that the Management Board of the Smederevo School Sports Association, together with the teachers/coordinators of the “Sport in Schools” project, has prepared a charming event aimed directly at our youngest fellow citizens. Because the school year ended early, it was unanimously decided to continue working with the children and, so to speak, to give this work a broader dimension. From 12 to 16 June, from 17:00 to 19:00, a showcase of elementary games will be held on the city square, with the assistance of teachers from the Project. The aim is to promote fair play and nurture true values, and in this way to help our youngest pupils make better use of their free time.
The “Sport in Schools” project involves working with children in grades 1 to 4 of primary school, and the City of Smederevo is one of the few in Serbia to have recognised its importance and to fund it from local government resources. It runs in all 19 primary schools, as well as in two branch schools, and involves 30 physical education teachers.
We look forward to seeing you every day from 12 to 16 June, from 17:00 to 19:00, on the Square. You are all very welcome!
