Contracts signed with contractors for energy renovation measures for houses and flats

Published

With the support of the Ministry of Mining and Energy, the City of Smederevo is continuing to implement the Project “Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency for Citizens in Serbia”, which involves carrying out energy renovation measures for houses and flats in the territory of the city.

On behalf of the City of Smederevo, the Mayor, Jasmina Vojinović, today signed contracts with 32 business entities that will be engaged in the coming period in replacing windows and doors, renovating façades, installing thermal insulation, replacing and installing gas boilers and radiators, installing heat pumps and fitting solar panels in Smederevo households.

“The total funds for the project amount to RSD 35 million, and compared with last year, the funds for 2026 have been increased by RSD 5 million.

The line ministry has provided RSD 21 million, while the City of Smederevo’s contribution amounts to RSD 14 million.

The City of Smederevo has been taking part in this project for several years, and this year, for the first time, socially vulnerable groups of the population were also able to apply for these subsidies, which cover 90 per cent of the total value.

It is noticeable that from year to year we have more and more interested citizens, as well as contractors who want to work on the energy renovation of houses and flats.

With today’s signing of the contracts with the contractors, we are also announcing the imminent start of the works, which will follow once contracts have been concluded with the end beneficiaries: our citizens who applied for the energy renovation measures programme,” said the Mayor, Jasmina Vojinović, expressing the hope that the work would be done well and on time.
