Today, at the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade, 108 new contracts were signed for the award of grants for the purchase of rural houses with garden plots, under a programme implemented by the Ministry of Rural Welfare of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
On behalf of the City of Smederevo, the contract was signed by Aleksandra Mijatović, Member of the City Council responsible for local communities and rural development.
The beneficiaries are a young married couple, Marko and Jelica Dabić, who have three children.
By buying a rural house with a garden plot worth RSD 1,200,000, the five-member Dabić family will resolve their housing situation in a rural area in the territory of the City of Smederevo.
The Minister of Rural Welfare, Milan Krkobabić, congratulated all the recipients of the funds and expressed the wish that there would be even more of them in the future.
This activity is being carried out under the programme to support rural development across Serbia, in order to encourage young people to settle in rural areas and to improve living conditions in the countryside.
