The City of Smederevo informs the public that a commemorative gathering will be held in Malo Orašje, at the memorial in Ravni Gaj, on Monday, 4 May 2026, starting at 11:00.
On the spot where an unprecedented massacre took place three years ago, we will pay tribute to the young men who lost their lives so tragically: Petar Mitrović, Nemanja Stevanović, Lazar Milovanović, Marko Mitrović, Aleksandar Milovanović and Nikola Milić.
The killings in Malo Orašje are the most tragic event in the recent history of Smederevo, and in memory of the lives and youth cut short, wreaths and flowers will be laid at the memorial by a delegation of the City of Smederevo, family members, friends and local residents.
After the commemorative gathering, the commemoration will continue at the FK “Ravni Gaj” stadium, where a memorial football tournament will be played.
With several teams taking part, through sport and togetherness, we preserve the memory of our fellow citizens who lost their lives.
We invite citizens to come and mark this day together and with dignity, and to offer support to the families of the victims.
