Today the Mayor of Smederevo, Jasmina Vojinović, visited the start of the street asphalting works in Local Community Petrijevo, where she stressed that significant investment in road infrastructure is continuing, with the aim of improving citizens’ quality of life.
“Today, together with our local residents, we are writing another important page in the development and progress of our city. Every new metre of asphalt is not just a road; it means a safer childhood, easier everyday life, quicker journeys to school, work and the doctor, and a clear message that no part of our city has been forgotten,” the Mayor said.

Through the public-private partnership model, more than 400 streets are planned to be improved in urban and rural local communities, which is one of the largest investments in road infrastructure in the territory of Smederevo.
“These are works that bring lasting change and create better living conditions for all our fellow citizens. Guided by the policy of development and progress pursued by the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, we are continuing to build a Serbia in which asphalt, safer roads and the opportunity for a dignified and better quality of life reach every person,” Mayor Vojinović stressed.
