As previously announced, works on renovating streets in Smederevo are under way. The project to rehabilitate twenty-two streets in Smederevo is worth RSD 143,800,000.00 including VAT, and the works are planned to be completed within the next sixty working days, weather permitting. Previous announcements already stated that the works cover the Local Communities “Plavinac”, “25. Maj”, “Sveti Sava”, “Papazovac”, “Slavija”, “Carina”, “Ladna Voda” and “Leštar”.
Last week, work was completed on “7. Jula”, “Maršala Birjuzova”, “Loznička” and “Braće Jerkovića” streets. On this occasion, Mayor Beč visited these streets and talked to local residents.
All the residents are very pleased that, after years of waiting, they have finally got asphalt streets. The Mayor stressed that this is not the end and that infrastructure works will continue in the coming period as one of the leading priorities of the City of Smederevo.
In the coming period, the Mayor’s Office will issue statements on the streets completed in the urban local communities.
