The City of Smederevo, Municipal Police Department, informs citizens that from 19 January 2026 the system for the electronic recording of illegal parking, “Oko sokolovo”, will begin operating on Knez Mihajlova and Karađorđeva Streets.
In order to inform citizens about how the system works and to raise awareness of the importance of respecting traffic regulations, the system will be in trial mode for the first month of operation.
During the trial period, the “Oko sokolovo” system will record illegally parked vehicles, but no misdemeanour orders will be issued, and vehicle owners may receive warnings/reminders with information about the offence committed.
Once the trial period has ended, the system will be fully applied, and all recorded offences will be penalised in accordance with the Law on Misdemeanours, the Law on Road Traffic Safety and the applicable decisions of the City.
We call on citizens to respect the regulations so that the city can function better, more efficiently and more safely.
