The Mayor of Smederevo, Jovan Beč, today received citizens who had previously asked for help in resolving certain problems.
In direct communication and conversation in the Plenary Hall, citizens were mostly interested in how to resolve some utility and social problems, so representatives of certain public utility companies, the Centre for Social Work and the Legal Aid Office also attended the meeting. Some received answers on the spot, while others were told which authorities or institutions they should approach with their requests in order to resolve their problems as soon as possible.
“As before, I wanted to listen to each person individually, to hear what is troubling them and how to resolve it as quickly as possible. I believe that every citizen is equally important to us, whether they live in the city or in a village. We want to ensure decent living conditions for everyone, because that is the only way we can move along the path of progress. The generations that come after us must have better opportunities and chances to live and work in their local community, and it is up to us to provide them,” said the Mayor, Jovan Beč.
