With a final conference held at the Regional Centre for Professional Development of Employees in Education, analyses of the activities carried out under the projects “Let’s Walk Together” and “Inclusive Preschool Education and Care” were presented in Smederevo today. The City of Smederevo implemented these projects in partnership with the Preschool Institution “Naša radost” and the Ministry of Education, in line with the signed Loan Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Smederevo preschool institution and the coordinators of the projects spoke at the conference about the results achieved.

“The local government in Smederevo pays particular attention to the youngest generations and to their growing up well, because education is the foundation of every society, and it begins at the earliest age, in kindergarten.
That is why we strive to improve access to preschool services for all, especially for children from vulnerable social groups. Our aim is to help achieve equal opportunities for all, to provide support for parenting and also to increase the number of places for children in the preschool institution. The places at the newly opened kindergarten in Radinac are certainly a contribution to this,” said Aleksandra Mitić, Member of the City Council responsible for education and culture, who thanked all the partners and associates for taking part in the successfully implemented projects.
