The City of Smederevo is committed to improving the living conditions of all citizens and pays special attention to its youngest residents, especially when it comes to their safety and their time in the facilities of Preschool Institution “Naša radost”.
At this time last year, together with the Ministry of Mining and Energy, we signed a contract on the energy renovation of the “Hajdi” kindergarten, under which the Ministry is contributing RSD 24 million and the City of Smederevo has allocated an additional RSD 17 million.
We are now delighted to be starting this project, which will include converting the boiler room from heating oil to gas and replacing the worn-out windows, doors and façade, which, in addition to improving conditions for the children at the kindergarten, will also contribute to environmental protection.
Before the necessary works could be carried out, we had to wait for the end of the heating season and for favourable weather.
As these are extensive and long-lasting works, they will begin in the coming days, so that the “Hajdi” kindergarten building can shine in full splendour at the beginning of September.
For this reason, the children from this kindergarten will be temporarily placed in other facilities of Preschool Institution “Naša radost”, making sure that children from the same family are in the same building, as we want to make things easier for parents.
By refurbishing this building, we are helping to create better conditions for the smooth running of all the activities carried out by Preschool Institution “Naša radost”.
From September, the new and more beautiful face of the “Hajdi” kindergarten will be a source of pride for the City of Smederevo, as well as a reason for satisfaction for the staff, the children and their parents.
