The Ministry of Environmental Protection today signed contracts with representatives of 65 local governments across Serbia for the implementation of projects in 2024 aimed at improving air quality.
Among the signatory cities is Smederevo, which had previously applied for funding to co-finance projects to reduce air pollution from individual sources.
The contract was signed on behalf of the City of Smederevo by the Deputy Mayor of Smederevo, Vladimir Nešić. The total value of the project is RSD 3,160,000, with the local government required to provide RSD 1,560,000 and the competent ministry the same amount.
The deadline for implementing the project is the end of this year.
