Today the Mayor of Smederevo, Jovan Beč, signed on behalf of the City a Contract with the Ministry of Mining and Energy on Co-financing the Energy Renovation Programme for Family Houses and Flats. The total funds planned for these measures amount to RSD 25,000,000.00. Of the total planned funds, the Ministry has allocated RSD 15,000,000.00, while the City has provided RSD 10,000,000.00.
The allocated funds will be used for: improving the building envelope by replacing windows and doors and installing thermal insulation on walls and roofs; improving the heating systems in buildings by replacing existing space heaters with more efficient ones, replacing existing pipework or installing new pipework and radiators, and installing heat pumps, circulation pumps and heat meters; installing solar collectors for domestic hot water and solar panels to generate electricity for own use, as well as panels for residents’ associations and family houses.
In the coming period, the City will continue to follow the relevant Ministry’s calls for applications with the aim of improving the energy efficiency of residential buildings and family houses.
The citizens of Smederevo will be informed in good time of the date on which the call for applications is published and of the implementation deadlines.
