Today the Mayor of Smederevo, Jovan Beč, signed two contracts with the Ministry of Environmental Protection: one relates to Primary School “Dositej Obradović” in Vranovo, for a project to extend and reconstruct the boiler house in order to switch from coal to pellets, and the other to reducing environmental pollution and using pellets as an environmentally friendly fuel.
The Contract on Co-financing the Implementation of the Project for the Procurement, Replacement, Reconstruction and Repair of Heating Boiler Houses in 2023 in the Territory of the City of Smederevo is worth RSD 16,789,397, of which the competent Ministry is providing RSD 10,000,000, while the City is contributing RSD 6,789,397.
The Contract on Co-financing the Implementation of the Project to Reduce Air Pollution from Individual Sources in 2023 in the Territory of the City of Smederevo is worth RSD 3,160,000, of which the competent Ministry has allocated RSD 1,580,000 and the City RSD 1,580,000.
The project aims to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Smederevo and to improve the environment.
