After a thorough search by members of a special unit of the Ministry of the Interior, who went to the scene this evening immediately after the report of a bomb allegedly planted at Smederevo Fortress, it was established that the report was false and that it was a malicious attempt to disturb the peace and calm of the citizens of Smederevo and of all the guests and visitors of the 137th Smederevo Autumn.
Citizens are safe, and we hope that such malicious acts will not be repeated.
In order to shed light on this criminal offence, intensive work is under way to identify the perpetrator, and the City of Smederevo will file a criminal complaint in this regard.
