Pursuant to Article 32, paragraph 1, item 6, in conjunction with Article 66, paragraph 3, of the Law on Local Self-Government (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia”, No. 129/2007, 83/2014 (other law), 101/2016 (other law), 47/2018 and 111/2021 (other law)), Article 19, paragraph 1, item 6 of the Statute of the City of Smederevo (“Official Gazette of the City of Smederevo”, No. 2/2019, consolidated text) and the Decision on Awarding New Year Gift Packages in 2024 to Children Born between 1 January 2014 and 15 December 2024 (“Official Gazette of the City of Smederevo”, No. 7/2024),
the Department for Public Services of the City Administration of the City of Smederevo, on 1 November 2024, issues the following
Public call for applications for New Year gift packages in 2024
Parents, guardians, foster parents and adoptive parents of children from the territory of the City of Smederevo born between 1 January 2014 and 15 December 2024 are invited to submit applications for New Year gift packages.
The criterion for the award of New Year gift packages is that one of the parents, or the child’s guardian, foster parent or adoptive parent, has permanent or temporary residence in the territory of the City of Smederevo.
To exercise the right to a New Year gift package, the following documents must be submitted:
- A completed application form (which can be downloaded from the official website of the City of Smederevo or obtained at the City Service Centre of the City Administration of the City of Smederevo);
- Proof of permanent or temporary residence of one of the parents in the territory of the City of Smederevo (a printout of the identity card data and, for the child’s guardian, foster parent or adoptive parent, also proof from the competent authority), and
- A photocopy of the birth certificate of the child/children.
Applications may be submitted from the date of publication until the close of the Public Call, that is, from 1 November 2024 to 15 December 2024.
Applications with the documents are to be submitted in person at the City Service Centre of the City Administration of the City of Smederevo from 7:30 to 15:00 every working day, or by post to: City Administration of the City of Smederevo, Omladinska 1, 11300 Smederevo, marked “Application for New Year gift packages”.
A registered item handed in at the post office no later than the last day of the deadline for submitting the application documents, that is, by 15 December 2024, is considered to have been submitted on time if it bears a postmark.
Incomplete and late applications, as well as applications submitted in any other way (e.g. by fax or email), will not be considered.
