The Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus, His Excellency Sergei Malinovsky, visited Smederevo today together with representatives of the Serbian-Russian-Belarusian Friendship Association of Serbia, based in Čačak.
A formal reception was organised at the City Administration for the members of the delegation and the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus. The guests were welcomed on behalf of the City of Smederevo by the Deputy Mayor, Vladimir Nešić.
The talks focused on establishing cultural and economic cooperation with the Republic of Belarus and on further developing the twinning relations between the City of Smederevo and the Belarusian town of Zhodino.
During his visit to Smederevo, the Ambassador toured an exhibition of photographs of contemporary Belarus at the Historical Archives and the “Želvoz” factory.
