In order to maintain the income stability of agricultural producers, improve the quality of life in rural areas, protect the environment and improve competitiveness, and in accordance with the recently adopted Programme of Support for the Implementation of Agricultural Policy and Rural Development Policy for 2025, on 25 March the City of Smederevo issued six public calls for agricultural subsidies.
The calls relate to investments in the physical assets of agricultural holdings, subsidising investments in economic activities to increase product competitiveness, subsidising insurance premiums for crops, fruit, perennial plantations, nurseries and animals, subsidies for reproductive material in cattle breeding, the use of funds for establishing and strengthening associations in the field of agriculture, and the use of funds for promotional activities in agriculture and rural development.
RSD 80 million has been allocated from the City budget for these purposes.
Holders of agricultural holdings who are permanently resident in the City of Smederevo and have agricultural land in the territory of the City may apply to these public calls.
