On 31 May 2023, the National Employment Service and the City of Smederevo are issuing public calls for self-employment and new employment
For 2023, RSD 17,000,000.00 has been allocated from the budget of the City of Smederevo for active employment measures. This amount will be spent on three measures: public works, self-employment subsidies and subsidies for the new employment of persons registered with the National Employment Service who belong to hard-to-employ categories.
RSD 5,000,000.00 will be spent on the Public works measure. With this amount, three companies will engage 21 persons in public works lasting 4 months.
In addition to the RSD 12,000,000.00 allocated from the budget of the City of Smederevo for self-employment and new employment measures, the City submitted a Request for co-financing from Republic funds, and an additional RSD 11,529,411.77 was approved from the Republic budget. The total amount allocated for these two measures is RSD 23,529,411.77.
Using the joint funds allocated by the City and the Republic, 105 persons registered with the National Employment Service will be employed for shorter or longer periods.
