Appeal to the citizens of Smederevo
Given the time of year, the citizens of Smederevo are urged to respect the ban on burning crop stubble, burning rubbish in the open and burning plant residues, and on lighting open fires in forests and within 200 metres of the forest edge.
Burning plant residues leads to uncontrolled outdoor fires, which cause major material damage and casualties.
The ban on burning stubble, rubbish and plant residues is laid down in the provisions of the Law on Fire Protection, and failure to comply is punishable by a fine of RSD 10,000 for individuals.
Respect the ban on open burning!
